Community Development

Community Development staff reviews all zoning, conditional use & building permit applications to ensure that all City plans, City codes, state statutes, state building codes and fire codes are met. The staff updates, maintains, and enforces the City's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, otherwise knows as the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance and State Building Codes. Other activities include annual rental housing and building code inspections, and housing assistance. The department also develops and maintains city maps and demographic information about the community.
